Details
Voigtlander's famous Micro Four Thirds Lens is exceptionally fast with a maximum aperture of f/0.95.
If you are interested in using this lens for still photography, the 25mm Voigtlander has the equivalent horizontal angle of view of a 50mm lens on a Full Frame 35mm STILL PHOTO camera.
However, if you are planning to mount the 25mm Voigtlander f0.95 on a Blackmagic Camera, Panasonic AF100 or Panasonic GH2/3 for the purposes of shooting HD (or 2.5K.) The most proper comparison of this lenses is to that of a ultra fast 40mm/T1.0 motion picture lens. A 40mm lens is widely considered a "normal" field of view for motion picture production, and is favored by notable cinematographer Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC and many others as "normal" for Super 35mm. With a speed of f0.95/T1.0 this lens is faster than any typical motion picture (PL Mount) lens of this focal length.
This lens is capable of producing extremely shallow depth of field and utilized manual focus and manual exposure (iris) no auto controls focus or iris means that the Voigtlander 25mm can be used on any camer with a MFT (aka Micro 4/3, Micro Four Thirds) mount.
A metal lenshade and front and rear caps are included.
Extremely compact size.
This lens is rugged and with an all metal body.
Near macro level of close focus, down to only 6.7" (17 cm).
52 mm filter thread.
