Custom Modified Cameras Warranty
All Hot Rod Cameras 7D-PL, 5D-PL and 1D-PL products, are sold with a 5-day limited warranty from Hot Rod Cameras, no warranty is available from Canon, Inc. You may return a 7D-PL 5D-PL or 1D-PL in new condition for any reason within 5-days of receiving delivery. Any camera found to be defective within 5-days of receipt will need to be inspected by Hot Rod Cameras before a refund or replacement is given. Upon completion of our inspection if the camera is found to a defective, Hot Rod Cameras will refund or replace at our discretion. If upon inspection it is determined that the cameras has been damaged through misuse or negligence (dropped, water damage, mounted improperly, tampering in any way…etc) the 5-day Hot Rod Cameras warranty will be considered voided by the owner. If during inspection we discover misuse damage the camera will be returned to the original purchaser at their expense without refund. A 2-year limited extended warranty is available for the 7D-PL through a separate purchase. This warranty can be purchased for any camera in perfect operating condition within 90-days of original purchase from either Hot Rod Cameras or an authorize dealer of Hot Rod Cameras.
1-Year Limited warranty
Hot Rod Cameras warrants that the “Hot Rod Cameras” branded products are free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 1-year subject to the following terms and conditions. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of unmodified and original Hot Rod Cameras products in the line of products know as “Hot Rod PL”. In the event of a claim, Hot Rod Cameras will at its option, either replace or repair any portion of their product proven defective by improper construction or faulty materials. Note in regards to custom modified cameras, this warranty does not apply to the original camera body, or it’s parts, or the customization process, the warranty only applies to parts 100% manufacturered by Hot Rod Cameras.
Any and all claims under this Warranty shall be submitted to Hot Rod Cameras in writing inside the warranty period and are subject to confirmation by Hot Rod Cameras. Subsequent to notification, Hot Rod Cameras will in 30-business days issue the Buyer a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) to return the accessory or a component thereof to a Hot Rod Cameras-designated location. The Hot Rod Cameras supplied RMA must accompany any and all returns. The returned product, or component of the claimed defective product shall remain the property of the Buyer who shall ship it freight prepaid/insured to the designated Hot Rod Cameras location with the RMA number clearly displayed on the packaging exterior and all accompanying paperwork. If any returned product or component of the product is found to not be defective, return shipping charges will also be the responsibility of the original purchaser.
Replacement products or repaired components will be provided by Hot Rod Cameras on the basis that the defective item is returned within the warranty period, and within 7-days immediately following the emailing or notification of the claimant the Hot Rod Cameras generated RMA. At our discretion, Hot Rod Cameras will either refurbished, or replace the product to the functional equivalent of new. If Hot Rod Cameras can not repair or replace the product, Hot Rod Cameras may at their sole discretion offer another product of similar function and value, a refund based on the value of the product at the time a claim is made, or on-line store credit.
This limited warranty does not cover any and all damage that results from improper use, installation, abuse, modification, accident, dust, debris, misuse, foreign material, negligence, natural disaster, improper AC or DC current, unusual mounting/structural or environmental conditions, or any unauthorized disassembly or attempt at repair.
This limited warranty does not apply to any product where the Hot Rod Cameras factory installed identification information, serial number, brand name or other identifying markings or engraving has been altered, covered or removed. This warranty does not apply to any products operated, packaged, transported or handled incorrectly. This warranty is for the original purchaser only, and does not apply to any product that has been re-sold, given, loaned, leased or rented to another individual, company, group, or organization, and does not apply if ownership has been transferred in violation of US export policy or regulations.
This warranty covers repair, replacement or refund for defective Hot Rod Cameras products, as listed above. Hot Rod Cameras is not liable for any other equipment purchased from any Hot Rod Cameras affiliated website, it’s re-sellers, or distributors. Hot Rod Cameras will not perform service or repair any product that does not bear the Hot Rod Cameras brand name. This warranty excludes any and all 3rd party equipment, optics, cameras and accessories attached or affixed in any manner to a Hot Rod Cameras product. In no event will Hot Rod Cameras be responsible for any consequential, incidental or special loss of property, regardless of cause. Including loss of production time, money and/or resources regardless if the Hot Rod Cameras branded product functioned properly or improperly for any reason, including those for which Hot Rod Cameras bears liability under this Warranty.
This Warranty is made in lieu of all other warranties whatsoever, express, implied and statutory, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. The acceptance of any order with Hot Rod Cameras is expressly made subject to the Buyer’s agreement to this Warranty.

Total liability for any Hot Rod Cameras will never exceed the actual purchase price paid for any Hot Rod Cameras product.
