Hot Rod PL Mount For All Sony E-Mount Cameras (PL-E)

The Hot Rod PL Mount for Sony E-mount cameras is a click-in/click-out adapter which requires NO camera modification and has a unique support foot which when mated with the appropriate support allows you to use all 35mm native PL mount lenses safely.  This is the only PL Mount which offers professional shimming, minimal weight, maximum strength and rigidity and possesses thermal expansion and contraction characteristics that are the most similar to the camera in use.

This adapter uniquely allows the use of other popular D-Cinema PL mount lenses that are NOT compatible on 35mm film cameras, such as the highly popular Angenieux DP series of lenses (16-42mm and 30-80mm), and the Red Pro Prime 18mm.  These lenses are not compatible with cheap knock-off adapters, but we worked with Angenieux to confirm and guarantee compatibility.  Unlike other imitation adapters, the Hot Rod PL mounts are also compatible with the Sony PL Mount Lenses (i.e. 35mm, 50mm & 85mm)

This mount works with all Sony E-Mount cameras (FS100, Nex-5/5n, Nex-7, VG20).  The Hot Rod PL features a professional shimmable flange; this feature is a 100% requirement in order to have accurate lens focus marks.

This is the ONLY PL mount adapter system that offers maximum compatibility designed to be compatible with multiple Hot Rod and selected 3rd party support systems- and isolates any unwanted play in 4-axis.  We only have matte black, non-reflective surfaces inside our mounts, so there is no chance of internal reflections.

Every Hot Rod PL Mount includes a durable Delrin PL mount port cap.  PL mount and port cap designed and CNC machined 100% in California.
